My sweet friend Cassie let me know that today is World Kindness Day. Being the cofounder of the Kindness Counts Campaign I was ashamed I had no idea. For those of you who do not know me well, I am kind of obsessed with kindness. Am I always the poster girl for being kind? No, I will be the first to admit that this is something I work on every day. My main struggle is when someone is unkind to me my first reaction is not of kindness.
One of my biggest annoyances in life are the people who act kind to your face and then do the opposite (mean girls). That just isn't cool in my book and in those situations I try to turn the other cheek. Most of the time I will not say anything to that individual that I know what is going on and I just let them be. I truly believe in life that light outshines the darkness and the truth always comes out. If you are being kind and spreading kindness you shouldn't ever have to worry what that looks like. I also believe that if you think you have the kindness thing down you should always try harder, in life. We should never get to comfortable and should always strive to be better than we were the day before.
