All About That {{Lace}}

Hi Nobella Grace Mermaids!
So happy to be back once again on the Nobella Grace blog!
If y'all follow me on Instagram, I'm sure you already know how {{lace obsessed}} I am! I mean my ENTIRE last order from NBG was filled with lace on lace on lace. I can't get enough of it! Here is a peek into my current wardrobe and how I style all things {{lace}}! Enjoy!

Bianca Tunic Dress- ((SHOP HERE))
Paired with black leggings, grey boots, and grey cardigan.

This outfit is tried and true...and preschool approved! I actually just wore this outfit to school today! All of the kiddos LOVED the lace, especially the little ones :)
I love the nautical feel of this tunic and how easily it pairs with leggings (which I consider pants ;))
Add a cardigan and boots to make it "work appropriate"!

Hadley Top
Paired with Denim Skinnies, nude flats, and Jewel Tone Bangles from Metal Marvels

This top features not only lace, but a Spring 2015 color trend: classic blue! I'm not normally a "blue" person, but I was so drawn to this top. I love the slight hi low hem and how fabulously it pairs with denim skinnies and my new favorite flats!

Peaches and Lace Top- ((SHOP HERE))
Also available in Curvy- ((SHOP HERE))
Paired with Denim Skinnies, nude flats, and Jewel Tone Bangles from Metal Marvels

I LOVE the color peach and the lace detailing on this top! It has 3/4 sleeves which makes it perfect to transition into spring! It is available in contemporary AND curvy sizes, which is a huge PLUS!! Add your favorite denim and flats to complete this look!

Gym Girl Gets Lacey

I’m the gym rat that for years lived in yoga pants and sport tops. It was my work attire, my workout attire and I basically felt awkward and out of place in anything else. My “dressy” wardrobe consisted of Lululemon skirts and coordinating tanks and jackets. Admittedly, I enjoyed the comfort and the convenience and the ability to not have to give much thought at all to my wardrobe.

When I realized last spring that it was time to break out of my “gym rat fashion funk”, I appreciated that the clothing I could find at NBG was easy, comfy and I could look put together without having to give it much thought. That said - lace has become my new favorite thing. Let me tell you why…

Lace takes a basic sweater, a basic tunic and makes it fancy! Yep, add a trim of lace to that and in an instant, you go from basic to trendy and dressed up. I have several lace trimmed items now in my wardrobe and it’s a super easy way for me to remain comfortable but look put together and maybe even a little dressed up.

As a single mom of 4, convenience is top priority. I don’t have the time to spend hours getting ready every day. Another reason I am absolutely in love with lace - throw on a lace trimmed tunic with leggings or a lace trimmed sweater with skinny jeans and I’m ready to go. In minutes.

And here’s an added bonus: any time I am wearing something lace-trimmed I get compliments wherever I go. Simple, yet fancy. Try it…I guarantee you’ll like it!

Spring 2015

Hello Mermaids!

I apologize that it has been a while, we have been busying buying for Spring and Summer (our favorite seasons).  At Nobella Grace we put a lot of time and prep into our buying.  I personally study Fashion Predictives and Trend Forecasting which honestly is one of the best parts of my job.  Pantone always does an amazing job putting out a color report for each season and we are absolutely in love with the colors they have chosen for Spring.

The colors Pantone has predicted for Spring are describe as: "An eclectic, ethereal mix of understated brights, pale pastels and nature-like neutrals take center stage as designers draw from daydreams of simpler times. Remembrances of retro delights, folkloric and floral art, and the magical worlds of tropical landscapes restore a sense of wellbeing."

The color Marsala along with lace made our Natalie Top (on our website on Monday) an easy pick for NBG.

Our Indigo Dress and Hadley Top embrace the Classic Blue color that Pantone has picked.  Once again we love the crochet and lace details of these pieces.

Toasted Almond is another gorgeous color that easily transitions from Winter to Spring.

Comment below with your favorite color and trend for Spring and one lucky winner will be chosen at random to win a $25 Gift Card to Nobella Grace. Winner will be announced on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.

{{Preschool Chic}}

Happy Tuesday Nobella Grace Mermaids!
I am so excited to share this week's post with you, because it is a little more personal than normal. Right before the new year started, I got a job offer as the lead pre-k teacher at a premiere preschool! I gladly accepted! I was over the moon for this new opportunity and the fact that not only would I be able to teach at this school, but my son would be able to attend there as well. It was the perfect news for our family to receive and definitely started us off in the right direction for 2015.

Yesterday, I had my first day of training and what better way to celebrate a new job than to do some outfit planning! For all of those who are laughing right now, give this girl a break. For the past 2.5 years I have stayed home with my son and taken care of 5 children. My normal "work" wardrobe consisted of yoga pants and sweatshirts. I was super excited to be able to dress in normal clothes each and every day! YAY!!

First up, I wore this outfit to the ribbon cutting ceremeony. I wanted to "dress to impress". I paired a plaid Everly dress with black leggings and black flats. I accessorized with Kate Spade bangles, ring, and earrings. This look is super simple and chic. Here's another dress I'm currently coveting ((SHOP HERE))! I can totally see myself wearing this to my new job with some leggings, a cardi, and boots while it's still cooler!

Next, I am OBSESSED with how soft this sweater is. If you havent grabbed the Heather Sweater yet, now is your chance. This amazing piece will go with EVERYTHING! I paired it with my favorite pair of jeans from Nobella Grace (the Denim Skinnies). Since this sweater is a neutral, it would also go with brown dress pants or a maxi skirt. The cowl neck and button detail on this sweater adds to it's natural charm. It's a must have for sure!

Last, but certainly not least, here's what I wore to my interview. Of course I had to rock my good luck charm (Nobella Grace ;))! I paired the Shana top with black dress pants from Banana Republic Outlet and black patent wedged heels from Ross. I love the simplistic cut outs on this top. It adds so much dimension and really makes this "normal" top so unique. Another work appropriate top is linked right here ((Sloan Top)). It's always nice to have a blouse that goes well with a simple pair of dress pants in your closet at all times.

I can't wait to create more {{Preschool Chic}} looks using Nobella Grace! What would YOU love to see next? Leave me a comment below and let me know!

Until Next Time
